A great sample project for those of you that would like to learn a little more…stripes, texture, and lace. Its all in this pattern. Choose 3 colors of fingering weight yarn. I will have you cast on the rib of this cowl before class.

On Thursday night Dave will teach you how to use the warping board.  You will warp part of your towels, and take the rest home to finish.  On Saturday,April 6, you will return with your warp and learn to thread the loom.

This is a two part class with an optional finishing class.

This is the second part of the class.  On Thursday evening you learned to warp using the warping board.  On this Saturday class you will learn to thread the loom from your warp chain.  After, you have the towel warped you will begin to weave.  This is a full day class, bring a bag lunch.

Sock Class- Two Socks on One Circular Needle

I will be teaching 2 socks on 1 needle using the magic loop method. This is a two part class the first class you will learn to cast on and knit the rib of the sock, the next class, March 30th, I will show you how to knit an afterthought heel in your sock!; It’s a great fitting sock that works quite easily with the magic loop method.

Materials-- you will need a skein of sock yarn and a 40-inch long cable needle.

Sock Yarn Woven Scarf Class

This is a one day class. A direct warp scarf using up your sock yarn scraps and incorporating Leno Lace. Dave will teach you to calculate warp and weft yardage, how to pick color in weaving, use pick up sticks to introduce modifying plain weave, and hemstitching.

You must have already taken a weaving class from Dave to take this new class. This will be expanding on what you have already learned.

Feel free to bring your own scraps of sock yarn, or purchase yarn from The Yarn Shop.

Socks are many knitters favorite knit. In this class you will learn the basic sock using Suzanne’s favorite pattern. In part one you will cast on to double pointed needles. The homework will be to knit the cuff of the sock. Return on Saturday, March 2 for part two to learn how to turn your heel.

Learn to cast on and knit…

In this first class Susanne will help you with the basic cast on and get you knitting on a cowl. This is the first step in knitting. In part 2 Suzanne will teach you to purl and bind off.

Supplies, 1 100 gram skein of worsted weight yarn and a needle appropriate for the size of the yarn, both of these are available at The Yarn Shop.
