The Yarn Shop at Foster Sheep Farm!  The idea of yarn shop has long been a dream of Carole's.  She imagined a market place for farmers, where knitters, spinners, and fiber artists could find their favorite local products.  It would be not only a shop, but a gathering place where fiber lovers could come to learn, share, and enjoy a cup of coffee.  And so it is!  The old white farm house, where Tom grew up, has been transformed into a cozy haven perfect for any yarn enthusiast...  Join us on Wednesdays (10am-4pm) and Thursday evening(6pm-10pm) for our open knitting/spinning.  Come join fellow fiber enthusiast for camaraderie and enjoyable gatherings.

The shop specializes in local products, featuring Foster Farm yarn.  Fleeces from the flock of Romney, Border Leicester, and Wensleydale sheep, are sent to Battenkill Fibers in nearby Greenwich, New York to be spun into a variety of yarns. Once returned to the farm, the skeins are dyed one of many custom colors created by Carole.  In addition to the Foster Farm yarns, the shop hosts visiting artists, selling their own local fibers, as well as Berroco, Cascade, Tahki, Lang, Opal, Noro, Juniper Moon and American Lamb Yarn  products.  Of course, if you are in need of patterns or needles, you can find those here too!
